Counselor Connection
Collaboration is essential for school counselors. This mini-blog is for my counselor colleagues to share ideas, lessons and inspiration
Have you ever used Class Dojo? One of our 4th grade teachers used it this year and loved it! It may not be appropriate for School Counselors but it is definitely something we can suggest to our teachers. I'm oftentimes called into a classroom by a teacher having issues with student behavior, this may be a helpful tool to suggest to our teacher colleagues. Below is some information I took from their website. Best part...its FREE! ClassDojo is a classroom tool that helps teachers improve behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators. Better learning behaviors, smoother lessons and hassle-free data - and its free!

Have you guys thought of creating an app that counselors who have Hippa or Ferpa restrictions and obligations could use. I would love a system that I knew was secure, that I could communicate via, send psycho ed articles, or that Parents and myself can access to track behavioral issues or advancements... let me know if you current App can meet those requirements and I will gladly download.

I really like the Julia Cook lessons you posted. I was wondering if you would share lessons you use with fourth and fifth graders. Thank you for the the very helpful and informative website.
