About Mindy Willard
I am passionate about school counseling! I have been a counselor for 13 years and recently moved into a leadership role in the Madison Metropolitan School District. I love this career and look forward to helping MMSD counselors utilize the ASCA National Model to provide the best programs possible for our students. I was a K-8 counselor in the Phoenix area for 11 years before moving to Wisconsin in 2016. I spent the last two years as a high school counselor at Franklin High. I attended Ball State University in Indiana where I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling in 2004 and her Bachelor's Degree is 2002. In 2007, I was named Multi-Level School Counselor of the Year by the Arizona School Counselor's Association. And in 2011, the Sunset Ridge Counseling Program received the Recognized ASCA Model Program Award (RAMP) from the American School Counselor's Association. In 2013, I was named American School Counseling Association's 2013 School Counselor of the Year. Click here to read more about this honor. I was an active member of the Arizona School Counselors Association, serving as President from 2014-1015. These resources are for all K-12 school counselors and families looking for ways to help their students as they prepare for college and career. Please feel free to email if you have any questions!
